How to Use Apple Cider Vinegar to Balance your pH

Apple cider vinegar can bring pH balance to the body., when you are too acidic or alkaline.   ACV can help bring the proper balance to promote better health.  It  addresses many known conditions, such as acne, sore throat, gout, arthritis, acid reflux and more.

It has been used, as a home remedy  for hundreds of years, as an alternative remedy.  It is said that sickness cannot live in an alkaline environment, and those who keep their body at a   pH level of 7.0 tend to be healthier.

Testing your pH

When deciding to use apple cider vinegar, for pH balance, it is advised you use a pH testing kit to monitor your levels.  Thought ACV can be very good in curing some conditions; it is not a cure-all, especially if it is not taken properly.

Test your urine with a pH strip before, during and after using it, to monitor your potential hydrogen levels.  When purchasing apple cider vinegar, find a brand that has the mother (settlement) in the bottom of the bottle.  Dr. Braggs is an excellent brand and used by many.  You can usually find it in a higher-end grocery or health-food store.

Insect Bites

ACV can be used to calm the itch and stick out of insect bites as well as skin allergies.  It reduces the toxicity, by converting toxins in the insect bite into an acetone compound, making it less toxic.

Acid Reflux

If you suffer from occasional or even chronic acid reflux, add 1 or 2 tablespoons of vinegar to 8 ounces of water for acid reflux. If you find it difficult to drink the apple cider vinegar cocktail, it can also be added to salads used on salads as a dressing.  It will neutralize stomach acids, by changing the pH of stomach acids.

Weight Loss

There is no solid scientific proof that apple cider vinegar help to lose weight, but many use it for that purpose and swear by it!  A 2009 study, found that overweight individuals who consumed ACV every day for a period of 10 – 12 weeks lost pounds, belly fat and had lower triglycerides.

If you want to shed a few pounds try adding two tablespoons of apple cider vinegar with a little cayenne to eight ounces of water, add a little honey to taste and drink twice a day.  It will help speed up metabolism, and remove toxins from the body.
